UK man who went missing in Lake Villa found safe

LAKE VILLA, Ill. - A man from the United Kingdom who went missing over the weekend while visiting Lake Villa has been found safe, officials said Monday.

Joseph I. Hart, 20, traveled to Illinois last week to meet a woman he had been talking to over social media, according to Lake Villa police.

A missing person report was filed for Hart on Saturday but on Monday afternoon, officials said he had been found safe.

No further information was immediately available.
